Pegasus Parade a Success!

I just wanted to take a minute and recognize everyone who helped out with our Accessible Seating area at the Pegasus Parade last week. Our participants really enjoyed the parade, and everything ran smoothly! This was the first year that Terri and I were involved, and we’re especially appreciative of Disaster Services’ and Building and Grounds’ leadership and guidance. Also, kudos to Valerie Junot, who volunteered on site from 9AM until the parade finished at 7:30PM!

Thanks also to all of the employees and volunteers who were part of the production. Starring (in alphabetical order): Kathy Bailey, Pat Blocker, Kristi Choi, James Crowell, Christie D’Silva, Darlene DiProspero, Virginia Egana, Lance Fischer, Bill Gifford, Hilary Harris, Barbara Heath, Bill Hesse, Jonathan Hinkle, Valerie Junot, Bob Leason, Logan McCulloch, Sarah Naville, Shanan Niemann, Tim Niemietz, Jeff Polk, Pamela Price, Joe Proctor, Clifton Salas, Don Scheer, Kenny Settles, Christy Ward, Don Wilson, Virginia Wilson, Andrew Wood, Loretta Young, Amber Youngblood, Brandon Yowler, Teamsters Local 89, and the Yellow Trucking Company. You all rock!

The Red Cross has been providing accessible seating for people with disabilities – including children, adults and senior citizens for 33 years, and you’ll be seeing us again next year! Remember to mark your calendars; we’d love to have you volunteer and join us! If you are interested in volunteering at the Parade, contact Terri Rudolph @ (502) 561-3624 or Paul Beede at (502) 561-3770.
